MedScore Foundation Programme

Medical school prep shouldn't depend on family income

Significant discounts on all our services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may not otherwise be able to afford structured medical school preparation. Applied for confidentially.

Who it's for

Serious applicants, constrained circumstances

We know the single biggest predictor of medical school success is parental ability to pay for prep. We think that's wrong. The Foundation Programme is our attempt to level the floor.

Who qualifies?
Students from low-income households, students on free school meals, care leavers, first-in-family-to-university applicants, and students from widening-participation backgrounds. If your circumstances mean our standard fees are prohibitive, please apply — we'd rather hear from you and discuss than lose a strong candidate.
What discount is available?
Case by case. We offer anything from partial discounts up to full bursaries covering the whole programme. We'll be honest about what we can offer based on our capacity each cycle.
How do I apply?
Email admin@medscore.co.uk with the subject "Foundation Programme Application." Include a short summary of your circumstances, what you're applying for (medicine or dentistry), which services you'd want help with, and any supporting evidence (free school meal confirmation, EMA letter, etc.). All applications handled confidentially.
Is this charity or discount?
Honestly, both. We're a small UK company and we fund the Foundation Programme ourselves from standard revenue. It means we can only help a limited number of students each year, but we take it seriously — everyone who's accepted gets the same attention and the same tutors as full-paying students.
